After the “April 12” counter-revolutionary coup in 1927, the first cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party was declared broken, and the whole country was shrouded in a white terror, and the focus of the whole party’s work began to shift from cities to rural areas. In June of that year, after the establishment of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the first to focus on the restoration and development of the organization. It was on that summer that he took the instructions of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Komiks to instruct him that Zhao Jimeng, then member of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee (later member of the Standing Committee) and director of the Propaganda Department, secretly sneaked back to his hometown Dongyang. He contacted Dongyang Party members who returned from Wuhan, Shanghai and other places, and conveyed to them the spirit of the Five National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the establishment of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. In June, in a seemingly inconspicuous house in Dongyang County, under the leadership of Zhao Jimeng, a meeting to change the fate of Dongyang was quietly held in a seemingly inconspicuous house in Dongyang East Chengdong Street East. On that cold morning on January 9, 1928, after several days and nights of loneliness and coldness, Zhao Jimeng bravely died outside Qiantang Gate, the execution ground of the State Army Prison in Hangzhou.
